Effective Construction Administration in Ontario for Owners

This 7 hour course is designed to either introduce or refresh the use of CCDC 2 and CCDC 5A or 5B in the contract administration of various project delivery methods.

Additionally, we will look at implementing the new rules of prompt payment under the law that came into effect in October 2019 and affect construction procurement and administration.

Additionally, participants will receive an overview of the mechanics of the adjudication process including dates, timelines and how the roster of adjudicators will function that is now public with the first round of adjudicators recently announced.

We will also review when adjudication will automatically trigger, and when it can be used voluntarily to settle a dispute regarding payment or any other contemplated reason in contract. Our very own flow chart will be distributed in this class and the chart is an industry first, which will assist in key decision making at all levels of the payment pyramid.
