ENGLISH 101 For Industry, Commercial, Institutional & Civil Construction in Canada

This 12-hour course delivered on-line LIVE in (4) 3-hour modules is a must have for English as a second language individuals desiring to pursue or advance their career in construction and construction management in Canada. Specifically tailored for the industrial, commercial, institutional and civil sectors of construction, learners will discover and learn to use proper terms and definitions common across the industry. The delivery of the course is set in a relaxed atmosphere of peers with a facilitator that has 30 years of Canadian construction knowledge.

The outcomes of the course are as follows:

  • Be able to use and apply terms and definitions of words found on drawings and in specifications;
  • Be able to identify tools and equipment used in construction and engineering in Canada and the applications they are used for;
  • Be able to use and apply terms and definitions of words required to navigate tendering projects, planning and permitting applications;
  • Be able to use and apply terms and definitions that are needed for engineering reports, on-site meetings and peer meetings.

Attendees will receive a full colour lesson and learning summary e-book as part of the course.

This course is Gold Seal certified, 2 GS credits.
