Best Practices to Optimize Project Results

Module 1 + 2 (6 Hours) – Assessing the Delivery Model for Construction + Eliminating Waste Prior to Construction

Different construction delivery models determined for the construction phase of the project require differing approaches in consulting and provision of professional services. Questions like will there be a full 3 part specification or will specs on drawings suffice will need to be answered. How involved will we be as the consultant with the client, or will the contractor handle the client interaction, what municipality are we working in, and how to get through city hall. Design/Build, Construction Management and traditional project delivery models all come with a need to approach them slightly differently. Drilling down, as a manager of the project in-house, you have the responsibility to coordinate consultants, file for SPA and permitting, review your own documents, audit consultants work in a manner that will advance the project to eliminate as much waste as possible.
